St George's Day - Coventry

Join Broadgate for a celebration on St George's Day with music, dancing, story-telling and entertainment.

Brandywine Bridge 

Brandywine Bridge medieval musicians will entertain audiences with their historical music performed on a variety of instruments. The songs and tunes performed range from original 14th Century to self-penned.

St. George and the Dragon Walkabout

Ego Performance Theatre Company will bring back to life St. George and the Dragon with their animated walkabout.

Punch and Judy

Slap stick and fun packed Punch and Judy shows by Professor Chris Cullen from Banana Brain fun shows. He is a member of the Punch and Judy fellowship and has been performing Punch and Judy shows for over 20 years. It's popularity is better today than ever before.

Coventry Morris Men 

Coventry Morris Men formed in 1933 and are a men's Cotswold Morris and Sword dance group. They will be treating everybody to some traditional folklore dancing.

Story-telling by Lady Godiva

Be transported to another time and place with Lady Godiva, Pru Porretta telling tales of dangerous fire eating dragons, brave princes and fairytale princesses. The enthralling stories include live music and puppets. 

Face painting and balloon modelling will also be on offer at the venue.

St George's Day - Rugby

23rd April / 11am - 3pm

Rugby Town Centre

Join for a day of fun, festivities and celebrations in Rugby town centre!

Meet St. George on his horse, watch Punch and Judy shows and street entertainers, and have a go on the tea cup ride and bouncy castle!

Also expect birds of prey, face painting, wood craft, armour display, archery stand and children's knight school!

Our 585 services operates to Rugby town centre

St. George's Festival - Leicester

Saturday 23rd April 

12pm / 5pm

Leicester Orton Square

Enjoy the annual, family friendly festival on Orton Square and in venues across the Cultural Quarter. 

A day of non-stop entertainment for all the family; full of activities to try out and fun things to do including the fancy dress parade and the popular dragon hunt.
